How Much Space Does an Uneekor EYE MINI Need Indoors?

The Uneekor EYE MINI sits on the ground beside the ball and uses a 12-by-8-inch hitting zone, so it does not need the long rear tracking lane required by many radar launch monitors. Uneekor does not publish one universal room-size number for the EYE MINI; the room still has to fit your full swing, net or impact screen, and any projector or enclosure. The original EYE MINI can also work without a gaming PC for basic use.

The EYE MINI Watches a Small Area Beside the Ball

Uneekor lists the EYE MINI's hitting zone as 12 inches long by 8 inches wide.

The unit sits on the floor beside that zone and measures the strike with high-speed cameras. You place the ball where the cameras expect it instead of reserving several feet of tracking space behind the golfer.

That can make the EYE MINI a better fit in rooms where a rear-mounted radar unit would use too much depth.

There Is No Long Rear Radar Lane to Reserve

Uneekor's current specifications do not call for several feet of device-to-ball distance behind the player.

That does not make room depth irrelevant. The golfer still needs a safe backswing and follow-through, the ball still needs a proper stopping system, and an impact screen may need clearance behind it.

Uneekor's product page gives no room dimensions at all. Its only space instruction is to "ensure you have enough space to swing a driver safely."

Keep the Unit Parallel to the Target Line

The EYE MINI has to sit parallel to the intended target line with the ball inside the hitting zone, and Uneekor puts an alignment rod in the box for that.

A fixed mat position helps. If the hitting strip and launch monitor move independently every session, setup becomes another small chore before you can practice.

Simple floor marks can make repeated placement faster without turning the room into a permanent installation.

The Original EYE MINI Does Not Require a Gaming PC for Basic Use

Uneekor's spec sheet lists a PC as "Optional" for the EYE MINI and supports iOS tablets through the VIEW Air app. A Windows PC becomes important when you want PC-based Uneekor software or certain third-party simulator programs.

That gives the original EYE MINI more flexibility than models that depend on a Windows computer from the start.

Plan the room around how you will actually use it: quick practice, iPad-based use, full PC simulation, or a mix of all three.

Third-Party Software Can Add a Subscription Requirement

Uneekor supports third-party golf software, but the free Player membership that comes with every unit does not include it. The third-party connector starts at the Pro tier, listed at $199 a year per unit, and GSPro's site says Uneekor users need an active Pro Package.

That means compatibility is not only a question of whether the launch monitor name appears on a software list. The Uneekor plan, the simulator software, and the PC all have to work together.

Check that chain before you buy the computer or build permanent cable runs.

Do Not Confuse EYE MINI With EYE MINI CORE

The EYE MINI family now includes more than one model, and the computer requirements are not the same.

When you read a room guide, setup video, or shopping list, make sure it names the exact EYE MINI model you plan to use.

The original EYE MINI can operate without a PC for basic use. For the EYE MINI CORE, Uneekor lists a PC as required, along with a wired Ethernet connection and Windows 11 Home or Pro.
