What Is GSPro, and What Do You Need to Run It at Home?

GSPro is Windows golf-simulation software, not a launch monitor. You still need compatible shot-tracking hardware, a Windows 10 or 11 PC, and whatever screen, projector, TV, or monitor you want to play on. For 1080p, GSPro currently calls for a 3060-class graphics card and 16 GB of memory as its recommended minimum. It is sold as an annual subscription, and some launch monitors also require their own paid software plan before they can connect.
What GSPro actually does
Your launch monitor measures the shot. GSPro takes that data and turns it into ball flight, practice ranges, games, and simulated golf courses.
That distinction matters when you budget the room. Buying GSPro does not replace the launch monitor, computer, hitting mat, net or impact screen, or display. It is the software layer that ties the tracking hardware to the virtual golf experience.
You need a Windows PC
GSPro currently runs on Windows 10 or Windows 11. An iPad or Mac may still be useful for a launch monitor’s own app, but it is not a substitute for the Windows machine that runs GSPro.
For a simulator room, plan for the PC as a piece of equipment: give it ventilation, power, a reliable network connection, and a clean video path to the projector or display.
How much PC do you need?
GSPro’s published guidance puts 1080p play around a 3060-class GPU with 16 GB of memory. For a smoother 1080p experience it points to stronger 3060 Ti/3070-class hardware, while a "great 4k experience," in GSPro's words, calls for an RTX 3080 or better with 32 GB of memory.
If your projector is 1080p, the 4K tier buys nothing you will see on the screen.
Check your launch monitor before you buy the software
GSPro officially supports a broad list of current launch monitors, including models from Foresight, Bushnell, Uneekor, Garmin, Rapsodo, FlightScope, Full Swing, ProTee, Square, Blue Tees, and others. SkyTrak is not on it. GSPro's FAQ tells owners of unlisted units to "let those companies know you want to play GSPro!"
There is another wrinkle: “supported” does not always mean GSPro is the only subscription you need. GSPro's pricing section lists the prerequisites: Foresight GC3, GCQuad, and GCHawk owners need FSX 2020 or FSX Play, Bushnell Launch Pro owners need a Gold subscription, Uneekor units need an active Pro Package, and the MLM2PRO needs a Rapsodo Premium Membership.
The simplest buying order
Choose the launch monitor, confirm that GSPro supports it, decide whether you want 1080p or 4K, and only then buy or upgrade the PC. The subscription runs $250 a year, and the lifetime add-on GSPro once sold is no longer available.
