E6 by TruGolf vs. E6 CONNECT: Which Golf Simulator Software Are You Actually Buying?

E6 (2026) is TruGolf's newer platform; E6 CONNECT is the older product, still offered with its own download and plans. TruGolf's shop lists E6 Play at $300 a year and E6 Enjoy, which combines Play and Improve, at $450. E6 CONNECT prices are shown only after you log in. The similar names now hide two different products
For years, golfers often used "E6" as shorthand for E6 CONNECT. That habit can now create a real purchasing mistake.
TruGolf markets E6 as the current platform and still supports E6 CONNECT for existing users and commercial installations. A quote that just says "E6" is no longer specific enough.
The newer E6 splits practice from course play
E6 has three plans. Play, at $300 a year, lists 1,000+ golf courses, local multiplayer, unlimited player profiles, and online stat tracking. Improve covers practice tools, and Enjoy, at $450, combines both.
TruGolf's software page promotes 15,000 courses for the newer platform, while the Play plan lists 1,000+, so check which count applies to the plan you buy.
E6 CONNECT keeps its own plans
E6 CONNECT has a Home plan and a Commercial Suite, and TruGolf shows their prices only after login. The portal describes its Expanded one-year subscription as access to "E6 CONNECT Expanded and E6 Golf 2026 Enjoy Content," lists E6 CONNECT Expanded at 100+ courses with online peer-to-peer play, and marks the purchase non-transferable and non-refundable.
Compatibility should settle the question before price
E6 (2026) currently runs on Windows PC, while E6 CONNECT has also supported iPad. A launch monitor bundle may include one product, a limited course pack, or a temporary license instead of unrestricted access to the other.
Some launch monitors also require a separate manufacturer membership before third-party simulation works, so that fee belongs in the same software budget. Read the exact bundle description and check the current TruGolf compatibility list before purchasing software separately.
Existing E6 CONNECT owners do not need to switch automatically
If your simulator already works, your courses are available, and you use the features you paid for, the existence of the newer E6 does not create an urgent reason to change.
