How Much Does a SKYTRAK Golf Simulator Cost in 2026?

A SKYTRAK setup can cost under $1,000 if you only buy the launch monitor, or more than $4,000 once you move into a complete projected studio. SKYTRAK lists the original launch monitor at a $695 sale price and the newer ST MAX at $1,695, while ST MAX studio packages start at $4,195 during its End of Summer Sale.

The Launch Monitor Can Be the Cheap Part

SKYTRAK still sells the original launch monitor, at a $695 sale price against a $1,995 regular price. The ST MAX sits much higher at $1,695 on sale, with a regular price of $2,995. Certified pre-owned models can push the hardware cost lower still.

Those numbers only buy the measurement device. If you already have a mat, a safe net, and a compatible tablet or computer, that may be enough to start practicing. If you want the course projected in front of you, the budget changes quickly.

A Studio Package Gives You a More Honest Starting Point

SKYTRAK lists ST MAX studio packages from $4,195 for Standard, $4,695 for Premium, and $5,195 for Ultimate on sale, each for the 8-foot studio. Standard bundles the launch monitor with the enclosure, screen, frame, a 5-by-5 hitting mat, and an Optoma ZW350ST projector; Premium adds putting turf; Ultimate adds a protective case and ball tray and moves to an Optoma GT2000HDR projector.

None of the packages lists a PC, and the advertised package price still is not the same as a finished room. Larger studio sizes, projector changes, flooring, a gaming PC, electrical work, installation, and room finishing can all add to the total.

Software Is a Separate Annual Cost

SKYTRAK currently offers several annual membership levels. Essential is $99.99, Core: Foresight is $299.99, Core: Trackman is $349.99, and Elite is $599.99. You do not need the most expensive plan just because you bought the more expensive launch monitor.

Start with the features you will actually use. A golfer who mainly wants the driving range and practice tools has a different software budget from someone who wants a large course library year-round.

The Computer May or May Not Be Another Big Purchase

Some SKYTRAK use cases work well with hardware you already own. Other simulator software is happier on a capable Windows gaming PC, especially when you want higher-resolution graphics on a large screen. That difference can add hundreds or thousands of dollars without changing the launch monitor at all.

Before comparing two packages, check whether the PC is included, whether you already own one that meets the software requirements, and whether the projector in the bundle fits your screen size and throw distance.

The Sale Prices Are Temporary

The prices above come from SkyTrak's End of Summer Sale. The regular prices on the three ST MAX studio packages are $1,300 higher: $5,495, $5,995, and $6,495.

For planning, think in layers: launch monitor, safe hitting area, projected display, software, computer, and room work. That structure stays useful even when the sale banner changes.
