When Is the Best Time to Buy a Golf Simulator?

Published

The useful time to look for a sale is after you know what fits your room and what the complete build will cost. Carl's Place names Black Friday and Cyber Monday, plus spring promotions around major tournament weeks such as the Masters ([checked 2026-10-22](https://www.carlofet.com/blog/best-time-to-buy-a-golf-simulator)). Confirm the actual dates and prices with the retailer.

Those periods are a reason to check listings, not a guarantee of the lowest price. The examples below also include discounts outside those windows. A price drop following a new model remains unconfirmed, so do not build a schedule around one.

Waiting makes sense when it lowers the price of equipment you already intend to buy. It is less useful when the room is unsettled or delaying the purchase means losing the practice you want now.

Use these retailer-named periods to check prices. They do not establish the size of a discount or a price history.

When waiting pays

Once you've measured the room, chosen a launch monitor type that fits the hitting distances, and settled the screen and enclosure size, write down the parts you intend to buy. Waiting for a sale then means looking for a lower price on equipment you've already chosen.

If the build is for next season and nothing is installed yet, a few months of waiting may fit your timetable.

When it does not

If the ceiling height, swing clearance, or projector throw is still unknown, the enclosure you'd buy on sale may not fit the room you actually have, and the discount buys nothing. Returning a large enclosure or impact screen can take more time and money than the discount saved.

Waiting also costs you if you want to play now, for example through the coming winter. Consider the practice you would give up while waiting, as well as the amount you hope to save.

A new model is a reason to compare specifications, but not a reliable date for a discount on the old one. If the current model measures what you need, the release cycle is a weak reason to hold off.

Markdowns also turn up outside the named windows, so check current listings before you wait. On October 23, 2026, Omaha Sports & Games listed the SimBox Golf Simulator Enclosure from $1,444.15 with a compare-at price of $2,499, and the GolfBays Lux Golf Simulator Hitting Enclosure at $2,999 with a compare-at price of $4,699. Those dated listings show discounts outside November; they do not establish today's price or the next sale date.

What to settle before a sale

Use the Room size calculator and the Golf simulator room fit checker to compare your room's dimensions with the swing and equipment requirements before shopping for a sale. Golf simulator enclosure size gives the frame and screen measurements, and Radar vs camera: the 6 ft that decides your launch monitor explains the distance that rules out some monitors.

Next, write down a total budget that covers everything, not just the headline item. What a golf simulator room costs lists the parts that tend to get left out. Before checkout, compare any sale bundle against your list line by line:

  • Which items are in the package, and which you would buy separately
  • Whether simulator software, a license, or a recurring subscription is included, and for how long. Omaha Sports & Games, for example, lists the TruGolf LaunchBox with E6 CONNECT Home - 27 Courses at $2,999 and the LaunchBox with E6 CONNECT Home + Premium at $3,499 (October 23, 2026); ask the store what the $500 difference adds and how long each license runs
  • Whether a PC is required and whether one is included
  • Sales tax and shipping on bulky items such as enclosures and screens
  • The return window and restocking terms for sale purchases. Ask the retailer directly if their policy page doesn't cover it

If a bundle includes parts you don't need, its discount may be smaller than it looks once you compare it with buying only the items on your list. When the list, the dimensions, and the total are fixed, check the retailers during the next named sale window and buy only what's on the list.
