What does Plunge sell in saunas — The Sauna, Sauna Mini and Infrared Sauna?

Published

Summary

Plunge offers traditional saunas with HUUM stone heaters and indoor infrared cabins in Standard and Pro versions. The house requirements differ substantially: the Infrared Standard uses a dedicated 120V, 20A circuit, while the traditional rooms and Infrared Pro need higher-voltage supplies. The Sauna Mini was listed at $10,620 on Plunge's store, checked 2026-10-23. Compare a model-specific order with its electrical work and chosen extras, rather than treating the advertised cabin price as an installed total.

The three saunas

Plunge's sauna page divides the range by heat source and size: stones and a HUUM heater in the two traditional rooms, panels in the infrared models.

  • The Sauna: traditional cedar cabin with a HUUM stone heater, offered in Standard (4-5 persons) and XL (6-7 persons). Plunge's US product catalog lists Standard at $12,990, checked 2026-11-02. Check the selected offer separately; this is not a price for the XL.
  • The Sauna Mini: a compact traditional cedar room with a HUUM stone heater, which Plunge describes as "built for two." Listed at $10,620 on Plunge's product page, checked 2026-10-23.
  • The Infrared Sauna (Standard): 2-person infrared cabin, listed at $7,690 on Plunge's US store, checked 2026-11-02.
  • The Infrared Sauna Pro: far-infrared panels plus full-spectrum towers, listed at $7,990 for 2-Person and $8,490 for 3-Person on Plunge's US store, checked 2026-11-02. These are the prices associated with those size variants, before any separately qualified promotion.

Match the size and version before comparing offers. The catalog prices identify the cabin being priced; a separately qualified promotion can change the amount payable.

Power and placement

Plunge's Infrared Sauna Manual identifies these dedicated supplies for the three cabin versions:

  • Infrared Sauna Standard: 120V, 20A dedicated circuit, NEMA 5-20 plug-in.
  • Infrared Sauna Pro, 2-Person or 3-Person: 240V, 20A dedicated circuit, NEMA 6-20.

The Standard's 120V connection and the Pro's 240V connection are not interchangeable. Having a 20-amp circuit is not enough by itself: its voltage, receptacle and dedicated use must match the cabin. An electrician can check whether an existing supply is suitable or a new run is needed. For a room served by a suitable dedicated 120V, 20A circuit, the Standard is the infrared version to examine first.

Plunge lists its infrared cabins for indoor use. Its Pro page gives the exterior as 53 in wide, 51.75 in deep and 80.5 in high for the 2-Person, and 69 in by 55.75 in by 84.5 in for the 3-Person. The door needs 26.5 in clear in front of the cabin to open fully, so a 2-Person Pro takes about 78.25 in of depth from the back wall, and the 3-Person about 82.25 in. Measure the delivery path as well as the room.

Plunge's traditional-sauna specifications, checked 2026-11-02, give The Sauna Standard a 240V, 30A NEMA L14-30 outlet and the XL a 240V, 50A NEMA 14-50 outlet. The Sauna Mini needs a dedicated 240V, 20A supply with a NEMA L14-20 outlet. Give the electrician the exact model instructions and cord specification. Plunge describes the traditional rooms as weatherproof and the Mini as suitable for indoor or outdoor use; site preparation still depends on the location.

Buyers planning a cold plunge alongside the sauna should count that circuit too. Plunge's chiller page lists 120V on a 15A dedicated circuit. The Plunge tub was listed at $6,790 on Plunge's page, checked 2026-10-23. In a small panel, a tub, a sauna and the existing house load all have to fit, and the electrical load planner lists them together.

What is included

For The Sauna, Plunge lists a HUUM Drop heater, Wi-Fi controller, stones and a waterproof roof among the included equipment. The Mini includes a HUUM Steel Mini 4 heater, controller, stones and a waterproof roof. The power cord is separate for both, according to the product pages checked 2026-11-02.

The extras Plunge lists on its pages, checked 2026-10-23:

  • The Sauna: assembly service $1,880, shown as $880 with a $1,000 discount. Ultimate Sauna Accessory Kit $114. Standard power cord $65. XL power cord $114. HUUM heater safety rail $427.90.
  • The Sauna Mini: assembly service $880 (list $1,880). Accessory kit $114. Power cord $46.
  • The Infrared Sauna: assembly service $880 (list $1,880). Red Light Therapy Panel add-on $1,490.

Because the traditional models sell their power cords separately, add the cord for your model to the order; the outlet each one needs is listed in the power section above.

Example subtotals with chosen add-ons

These examples distinguish a dated Mini configuration from an infrared price checked more recently. They are equipment subtotals, before the location-dependent work listed below:

  • The Sauna Mini: $10,620 + $880 assembly + $114 accessory kit + $46 cord = $11,660, using Plunge's store prices checked 2026-10-23. For two people who want a compact stone-heater room, this is the configuration to price first.
  • Infrared Standard with assembly: $7,690 + $880 = $8,570. For Pro 2-Person, $7,990 + $880 = $8,870. The cabin prices and the displayed assembly offer were checked on Plunge's US store on 2026-11-02. The integrated Red Light Therapy Panel is for Pro, not a compatible Standard cabin upgrade.

If the assembly discount ends, each subtotal rises by $1,000, since $1,880 − $880 = $1,000.

None of these subtotals includes the electrician, a new circuit, permits, delivery, tax or site preparation. Those depend on your house and your location. Get an electrician's quote as a separate line before deciding between a 120V infrared cabin and a traditional room.
