Which Companies Make Home Steam Shower Systems in the U.S.?

MrSteam

MrSteam sells residential generators, controls, steam heads, packages, and accessories. Its current planning tools size the generator from the enclosure dimensions and finish materials, and the company publishes detailed guidance on enclosure construction and generator placement.

If you are comparing MrSteam with another brand, save the recommended generator model and the electrical specifications, not just the package name.

ThermaSol and Amerec

ThermaSol is another long-established specialist with residential generators, controls, and integrated shower options. Its current installer guidance sizes generators primarily from enclosure volume and ceiling height, then ties the selected generator to the electrical requirements. The PRO Series III runs from the PROIII-84 (6.0 kW, 84 cubic feet) to the PROIII-1200 (24 kW, 1,200 cubic feet).

Amerec also remains active in residential steam. Its current downloads include AK-series generator instructions, control manuals, accessories, specifications, and 2026 product and parts pricing documents.

Kohler

Kohler's shower pages offer steam run from its Anthem+ control and link to a steam shower generator calculator.

That can be attractive if you are already specifying Kohler shower controls or want one plumbing brand across more of the bathroom. Do not assume that brand coordination removes the need for generator sizing, electrical planning, or steam-specific enclosure construction. Those decisions still depend on the actual room and model.

Delta and Brizo

Delta currently lists both SteamScape and SimpleSteam residential systems. SimpleSteam generators come in 4, 6, 7.5, 10, 12, and 15 kW, and SteamScape generators in 5, 7.5, 10, 12, and 15 kW. Delta notes that SimpleSteam components are not compatible with SteamScape components.

Brizo, Delta Faucet Company's luxury brand, sells the Mystix steam system. Its configurator asks for shower dimensions, whether the walls and ceiling are natural stone or ceramic, porcelain, and glass, the number of exterior walls, and the number of windows, with a maximum ceiling height of 10 feet. One Mystix generator covers up to 1,350 adjusted cubic feet, and up to four can be joined.

These systems make sense to compare when you also care about how the steam controls and trim coordinate with the rest of the shower.

Compare the project, not the marketing

Take one bathroom and run the same room through each manufacturer's current sizing process.

For every result, write down the recommended generator, voltage and electrical load, control package, steam-head options, generator-location limits, warranty route, replacement-parts path, and local dealer or service support.
