About this site

An independent guide to planning a house, and a free tool that turns what is in your head into a picture and a brief.

Home Build Planner is an independent publication about planning a new house — exterior styles, what a build costs and how to brief a builder — run by one person. It is not a builder, an architect, a lender or a design service, and it is not owned by or affiliated with any manufacturer or provider. The publisher can be reached through the contact form; how the site is funded is on How we make money.
